Diagnosis
To diagnose skin cancer a dermatologist would look at the skin and the growths, moles, and dry patches on the skin. They may also use a dermascope. A dermascope shines light on the skin, and helps the dermatologist see pigment and structures of the skin. If they see something that looks like skin cancer they will cut part of it, and then do a biopsy. Skin cancer cannot be diagnosed without a biopsy.
